AutoEmails MCP For Codex | Plugin & config.toml Setup

Set up AutoEmails as an MCP server in OpenAI Codex — desktop plugin with OAuth or config.toml with a workspace key — and run outreach campaigns from your agen

Option A — Codex desktop plugin (OAuth)

Codex → Settings → Plugins → Add plugin → custom MCP.

URL: https://xcfsmazseciunaoarmwx.supabase.co/functions/v1/mcp-server

Authorization: OAuth. Scopes: mcp:read mcp:write mcp:admin.

Sign in to AutoEmails and approve the workspace (e.g. Cost Cutting Experts).

Press Refresh tools after any AutoEmails update.

Option B — config.toml with a workspace key

Create a key in AutoEmails → Settings → MCP. Live actions made with a key need admin approval at autoemails.com rather than a yes in chat.

Permissions

mcp:read — read campaigns, leads, replies, meetings, reports and settings.

mcp:write — create drafts, edit copy, create variables, send tests to your own team.

mcp:admin — go live, add contacts, spend Decision Maker credits, save integration keys. Every one of these asks you to confirm in chat, and the workspace owner gets an email receipt with a 15-minute Stop link.

Changing permissions later (no need to uninstall)

Permissions are granted when you sign in. To add or change them, reconnect the account rather than uninstalling the plugin.

Open your assistant's plugin/connector settings → AutoEmails.

Under Connected accounts, open the … menu on your AutoEmails account and choose Disconnect.

Choose Connect another account, sign in to AutoEmails, pick the workspace and approve all permissions (read, draft, go-live).

Press Refresh tools so the newest actions load.

Ask your agent to call connection_status — it confirms which permissions it now has.

Safety model

Your agent can never send on its own. Anything real-world returns a plain summary first; it only happens after you reply yes, from the same signed-in owner or admin, within 15 minutes.

Live sends are refused unless the exact current copy has been test-sent in the last 24 hours. Changing a word means a new test.

A verified sending domain, the daily sending cap, sending hours and unsubscribes always apply. Opted-out contacts are never re-added.

About AutoEmails and Leo

AutoEmails is an AI email marketing platform built around Leo, an autonomous AI email marketing agent. Leo analyses your business, finds the right audience, writes and designs emails, launches campaigns and reports on replies, meetings, orders and revenue.

The platform covers three engines in one account: Outreach, which finds new companies or decision makers and emails them with personalised plain-text messages and follow-ups; Marketing, which sends designed HTML newsletters and campaigns to your own contacts; and Automations, which run triggered email journeys such as welcome series, abandoned cart recovery and re-engagement.

Leo works autonomously within guardrails. It can suggest and launch campaigns, resend to non-openers, expand targeting when a lead scan falls short and pause sending when deliverability signals such as bounce or spam-complaint rates rise. Every action is logged with an evidence trail so you can see what Leo did and why.

AutoEmails connects to Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Calendly, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and custom e-commerce stores, so campaigns can be measured on real outcomes: replies and booked meetings for lead generation, and orders and revenue for e-commerce.

Pricing is capacity-based in British pounds, starting with a free plan. You can start free at autoemails.com without a credit card, let Leo scan your business and review the first campaign before anything is sent.
