# AutoEmails MCP Reference | Every Agent Action

> Every action AI agents (ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, Cursor) can take in AutoEmails via MCP, with inputs and which ones ask you to confirm.

connection_status: Who you are connected as: workspace, role, granted permissions (read/draft/go-live), verified domains, and how to fix missing permissions. Call this first.

outreach_setup_questions: The exact questions the AutoEmails web wizard asks when creating an outreach campaign (audience type, sectors, locations, leads per scan, scan frequency, days/hours, sender, steps, test recipient) with defaults. Ask the user the ones you cannot answer before create_outreach_campaign.

audience_options: Explains the two outreach audiences (businesses = companies found by Google/Maps scan, free; decision_makers = named people by job title, uses credits), shows Decision Maker credit balance and the rule for choosing.

list_variables: All merge tags usable in emails: built-in ({{first_name}}, {{company_name}}, {{booking_link_1}} ...), workspace variables, and the {{key|fallback}} syntax.

set_variable: Create/update a workspace variable usable as {{key}} in every email (same as Settings > Variables). Built-in and system variables cannot be overwritten.

list_campaigns: List campaigns (newest first). Filters: status (draft/active/paused/completed), kind (outreach/marketing), limit.

get_campaign: Full campaign: settings, every email step, lead scan settings, enrolled/replies/meetings counts and whether a valid test exists for the current copy.

list_leads: List workspace leads (businesses). Filters: campaign_id, search (company name), has_email, limit.

list_replies: Replies to campaigns from Inbound with sentiment/intent. Filters: campaign_id, unread_only, limit.

list_meetings: Booked meetings (Calendly or built-in booking) with campaign attribution.

list_segments: Contact segments with cached counts.

list_automations: Automations with status, trigger and steps.

list_integrations: Which integrations are connected and which can be connected from chat (API key) vs in the browser (sign-in).

client_report: Plain-English results summary for a period (emails sent, replies, positive replies, meetings, attributed revenue) ready to send to a client.

preview_email: Render a campaign step with variables filled in: sample values, or a real lead's data if lead_id is given.

create_outreach_campaign: Create an outreach campaign exactly like the web wizard, as a DRAFT: audience_type (businesses|decision_makers), sectors, locations, leads_per_run, frequency_hours, schedule_days (1=Mon), schedule_start_hour/end_hour (UK), sender_email, and steps [{subject, body, delay_days}] written word-for-word by you (plain text or simple HTML). Omit steps to let Leo write them (brief, step_count). Subjects are Title Cased with {{first_name}} moved to the start; the sender signature is attached. The lead scan is saved switched off until activate_outreach_campaign. Never sends.

update_outreach_campaign: Change a draft/paused outreach campaign's name, sender or scan settings.

edit_campaign_step: Set the exact subject/body/delay of step N (creates it if missing). Invalidates the last test.

duplicate_campaign: Copy a campaign and its steps as a new draft.

trash_draft_campaign: Move a DRAFT campaign to trash (drafts only).

send_campaign_test: Send every enabled step as a test with sample variables and signature. Default recipient = the campaign's sender address; other recipients must be workspace members or senders (max 5). Required before going live; changing copy needs a new test.

activate_outreach_campaign: DESTRUCTIVE: Switch on an outreach campaign: the lead scan starts on its schedule, finds emails and sends the steps to new leads. Needs a test of the current copy in the last 24h and user confirmation.

connect_integration: Save an API key for apollo (Decision Makers), calendly, optimonk or woocommerce (needs store_url and api_secret) in this workspace. Sign-in integrations (shopify, ga4, google_search_console) return a link instead. Asks the user to confirm. The key is never shown back.

get_workspace_identity: Workspace name, sender and intent.

leo_dossier: Full business context Leo uses: what you sell, integrations, recent activity, KPIs.

search / fetch: Search and open any campaign, automation, lead, contact or segment.

list_senders / check_domain / plan_and_usage: Senders, DNS checks with exact fixes, plan allowances.

monitor_deliverability / attribute_revenue / diagnose_outreach: Delivery, revenue and outreach diagnosis reports.

list_audiences: Marketing lists and the all-eligible audience.

add_sender: Add a sender identity.

discover_leads / enrich_company / find_decision_makers: Find businesses, enrich a company, suggest decision makers (free).

draft_campaign / import_campaign / generate_email / apply_email_revision: Leo drafts, HTML import and revisions for marketing emails.

draft_automation / edit_automation_step / pause_automation: Build and edit automations.

pause_campaign / resume_campaign: Pause or resume a campaign.

import_contacts / create_segment: Import CRM contacts into a list; create segments.

leo_chat: Ask Leo anything about the workspace.

queue_campaign: Send a marketing campaign (confirm + test-first).

activate_automation / enrol_contacts / backfill_automation: Switch on automations and enrol people (confirm).

enrol_decision_makers: Spend Decision Maker credits to add people (confirm).
